First buy yourself a plain ferro rod like those in the hooddeal ferrocerium rod pack.

Problem is this coating needs to be gone before a spark can be created.
The hotter the sparks the more efficient the ferro rod.

A general rule of thumb is that you should see a shiny area on the rod where you will scrape.
If you are good with your hands and looking to take on an easy project a diy ferro rod is a great way to add some personality to your survival gear.

To make a custom handle you will just need a few materials.
Then braid a length of paracord to use to attach the striker to the rod.
Drill bit the same diameter as the ferro rod.
I see lots of folks have the tape duck or gorilla handle with some cordage on their blank ferro rods my thought is to just lay the cordage down with some excess below the initial tape wrap make a a pass or two then fold back up the excess and complete the wrap this should secure it with stirrups in a sense like a bandage for those that are familiar and minimize potential for slippage.
You want to do all the work needed to the antler before gluing that way if you chip the antler and want to start over you can.
Most ferro rods come with a paint or some sort of coating that prevents oxidation.
When struck with a high carbon steel knife a ferrocerium rod will throw numerous sparks that will hopefully light whatever dry tinder.
After you put it together try resisting the urge to repeatedly screw in out the rod the threads will wear down because ferrocerium is relatively soft.
Ferro rods are great to carry around for making fire in any situation whether its camping survival backyard fun etc.
The threads inside the handle may be a bit tight because of glue residue try screwing in out the bolt a few times to clear them out.
